FAQ

What is storage shed rent to own?

Lease purchase, or rent to own is a way to finance a building even if you have bad credit, or want to fly under the radar of prying eyes. In most cases, you rent the building with an option to purchase, and part of each payment goes toward rent, and the other part goes toward the purchase of the shed. Is rent to own a realistic way to buy a storage shed?

There are rent to own, or lease to own programs available for almost everything under the sun. For most items, I would have to say that rent to own is not the best option, but when it comes to big ticket items like storage buildings, it may be the best option in some cases. Obviously, if you have the available cash to pay outright, that is almost always best, but if not lease purchase may be one of your best financing options. If you are buying the building to get out of a public storage unit, or if you need the building to allevieate spending or debt in some other way, especially for business, rent to own storage sheds may be just right for you, especially if you live in a place where rental can be written off as a business expense. What is the best storage shed building material?

There are advantages and disadvantages to each building material, and the best question would be: “What is the best material for my situation?” If you have a home owners association, there is a good chance that wood is the material for you, sinc most HOA’s require it. If you are looking for something to match a rustic style, wood is probably also what you need. For small sheds for a deck or patio, plastic may be your best answer. For sheer durability and longevity with little maintenance, galvanized and painted steel is probably your best choice. For more on shed building materials see: Shed Materials
